TCL Builds a MOD - On Display in the LAB

This mod was built from Mid December 2004 till mid February 2005. The toolbox is a “HUSKY” chrome diamond plate, purchased at Home Depot. I removed the husky nameplate allowing the holes from the rivets to hold the power and hard drive LEDs. The bottom hole have 2 chrome plated ¼ x 20 Allen heads bolts with chrome caps. This was fun to build. My youngest son, 14, thinks it "Cool"

This computer consists of a Uneec 300w ATX power supply, Seagate 20 GB HD, A Gigibite – GA-7VKMLS motherboard, AMD Duron 1.2 ghz processor, 2 sticks of 256/PC133 SDRam, 3 Blue case fans, and an Aopen Combo DVD/CD Burner. It is lined with sky blue shelf fabric applied with spray on glue. I found metal "Feet" to take it about 5/8th inch off the table. I also added soft pads to the felt to help it slide a bit easier.

The back of the box is where it all hangs out. Venting for the PS and connector, a cutout for the motherboard outputs and the DVD combo. There were to be 2 USB ports attached to the outside of the system but the motherboard restricted for lack of connetors. The 4 extra USB ports inside are for connecting the mouse, keyboard, speakers and a USB to PS2 adaptor. The Bootup and reset toggles are above the motherboard output. The keyboard and mouse have enough wire to be places on a desktop. but it is not hard to use where it is. It's just a toy!
